Rest in Peace Charlton Heston

I grew up on such movies as The Omega Man, Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green, and of course Moses.  Some of the lines that stay with me to this day:

• “Get your hands off me you damn dirty ape!”
• “Set my people free”
• “Soylent Green is people”

He was  the epitome of self reliance and strength, at least for an eight year old.  Some of my favorite memories are of rainy fall Saturdays watching these old movies with my Dad.  We chill out in the family room all day and have a great time!

Charlton Heston was a rare breed, up there with John Wayne, and Steve McQueen.  Long live Clint Eastwood!

Who now to head the NRA?  Can I throw my hat in the ring?
